Divisions

Adult crews who race in our Harbour Fun Day or Festival Regatta compete in any of the following divisions:

This is a mixed division designed for corporate crews who are looking for the team building benefits, fun and challenge of dragon boat racing.
Crews with minimum of 8 males and 8 females in races
A minimum number of 15 crew members must be employees of the company
Crews in this division are offered a minimum of six, with a maximum of 12 training sessions before the Festival in March

Mixed crews with minimum of 8 male and 8 female paddlers in races
Local crews in this division are offered a minimum of six training sessions before competing in the Festival in March. Teams can train once or twice per week, depending on the start date requested. There is no upper limit on the number of training sessions.

All paddlers and the drummer must be female.

This division is targeted at teams who are less competitive and/or do not meet the requirements of our other divisions.
No gender mix requirements.
Teams that are made of employees of various companies may choose to race in Open – Social.

Dependant on interest and demand we may also run a Masters, Mens, and Breast Cancer Division(s).
